Chile Through a Lens: Tierra del Fuego

DISCOVERS CHILE BY TAKING PICTURES OF WHAT INSPIRES THEM THE MOST ABOUT THIS COUNTRY

Tierra del Fuego is an achingly beautiful island split between Argentina and Chile. On the Chilean side, you can find an animal you would normally only see in Antarctica: King Penguins! This colony started recently and it is said that they used to live here many years ago, but because of irresponsible tourism they left for other climates. However, I’m very happy to say they are back and tourism is well-managed by the owners of the land. On arrival, the owners of the farm walk you through the field to find the penguins and make sure all tourists get a good view, but also keep their distance from these cute little critters.
